Design-wise it is easier, clearer, flexible, and more resilient if these “concerns” are kept separate from one another. JavaScript is an object-based scripting language that is lightweight and cross-platform.

Scripting languages that rely on objects are lightweight and cross-platform, like JavaScript. It's useful to validate your input in a web browser, so you don't have to go into the server. When users interact with a website, it is useful to modify HTML DOM and CSS.
