An I/O Stream represents an input source or an output destination. A stream can represent many different kinds of sources and destinations, including disk files, devices, other programs, and memory arrays.

Streams support many different kinds of data, including simple bytes, primitive data types, localized characters, and objects. Some streams simply pass on data; others manipulate and transform the data in useful ways.

No matter how they work internally, all streams present the same simple model to programs that use them: A stream is a sequence of data. A program uses an input stream to read data from a source, one item at a time: Reading information into a program.

A program uses an output stream to write data to a destination, one item at time:

A stream is a sequence of data. In Java a stream is composed of bytes. It’s called a stream because it’s like a stream of water that continues to flow.

InPutStream − The InputStream is used to read data from a source.

OutPutStream − The OutputStream is used for writing data to a destination.

In java, 3 streams are created for us automatically. All these streams are attached with console.

In programming Language there is variable used to store data. This variable is one type of memory location, where we store the data, but variable can store only one data at a time, So, if we want to store more than one data at a time, then we can use array.

Arrays a kind of data structure that can store a fixed-size sequential collection of elements of the same type. An array is used to store a collection of data, but it is often more useful to think of an array as a collection of variables of the same type.

To declare an array in C, a programmer specifies the type of the elements and the number of elements required by an array as follows −

typearrayName [ arraySize ];

This is called a single-dimensional array. The arraySize must be an integer constant greater than zero and type can be any valid C data type. For example, to declare a 10-element array called A of type float, use this statement −

Float A[3];

Here A is a variable array which is sufficient to hold up to 3float numbers.

How data store in Memory:

Array always stores data in memory position wise or as per index. Index start always from 0.

A[0]     A[1]     A[2]

Int student[5];

Here, we store int data type data in array named student. Data store for 5 student.

Initializing Arrays

We can assign values to the array, when declare array, It is called Initializing Arrays.

i.e. datatypearray[size]={ values….};

We can keep blank also size of array in initialization, compiler can count its maximum size from initialization values.

Input Values for Array:

We have to use array in for loop because array has more than one values.

Here, loop executes n times and input values n times, stores values into the given address.

Definition:

Cryptography is a method of storing and transmitting data in a particular form so that only those for whom it is intended can read and process it.

Cryptography includes techniques such as microdots, merging words with images, and other ways to hide information in storage or transit. However, in today’s computer-centric world, cryptography is most often associated with scrambling plaintext (ordinary text, sometimes referred to as clear text) intocipher text (a process called encryption), then back again (known as decryption). Individuals who practice this field are known as cryptographers.

The science or study of the techniques of secret writing, especially codeand cipher systems, methods, and the like.

Compare cryptanalysis.

There are five primary functions of cryptography today:

Privacy/confidentiality: Ensuring that no one can read the message except the intended receiver.

Authentication: The process of proving one’s identity.

Integrity: Assuring the receiver that the received message has not been altered in any way from the original.

Non-repudiation: A mechanism to prove that the sender really sent this message.

Key exchange: The method by which crypto keys are shared between sender and receiver.

How this works?

In cryptography, we start with the unencrypted data, referred to as plaintext. Plaintext is encrypted into cipher text, which will in turn (usually) be decrypted into usable plaintext. The encryption and decryption is based upon the type of cryptography scheme being employed and some form of key. For those that like formulas, this process is sometimes written as:

where P = plaintext, C = cipher text, E = the encryption method, D = the decryption method, and k = the key.

In many of the descriptions below, two communicating parties will be referred to as Alice and Bob; this is the common nomenclature in the crypto field and literature to make it easier to identify the communicating parties. If there is a third or fourth party to the communication, they will be referred to gas Carol and Dave. Mallory is a malicious party, Eve is an eavesdropper, and Trent is a trusted third party.

Modern cryptography concerns itself with the following four objectives:

1) Confidentiality (the information cannot be understood by anyone for whom it was unintended)

2) Integrity (the information cannot be altered in storage or transit between sender and intended receiver without the alteration being detected)

3) Non-repudiation (the creator/sender of the information cannot deny at a later stage his or her intentions in the creation or transmission of the information)

Can we use floating variables in if statements in C?

Yes, we can use floating variable in if statement but you have to be very careful while initialising the condition C Language.

Comparisons between floating-point values (including comparisons with zero) are easily sent “off” by truncation/rounding errors.

Yes. You can use. But a direct comparison will never result in a true condition.

Remember that floating point values are hardly precise. So what you can do is along with the float value you are comparing, declare another value that serves as an upper and lower bound to your value,

For example:-

Float a=6.7, b=5.8;

if(a==b)

{

            printf("same");

}

Float a=1.0;

If (a==1) // this will be wrong in this case as condition will never be true

Definition

Tuple and List are used to store data in Python Language.

Tuple: A tuple is a collection of values and it is declared using parentheses. However, we can also use a tuple packing to do the same, and unpacking to assign its values to a sequence.

Lists: Unlike in C++, we don’t have arrays to work with in Python. Here, we have a list instead.

·         Mutability

• A List is Mutable
• B Tuple is Immutable

·         In built Methods:

• Following Methos can apply to List append(), insert(), remove(), pop(), clear(), sort(), and reverse().
• But not applicable to Tuple.

·         Inside Storage

• We can store tuples in a list when we want to. For example,
• [(1, ‘ABC’), (2, ‘DEF’), (3, ‘GHI’)]

o   Lists in a Tuple

• Likewise, we can also use a tuple to store lists. Let’s see how.

·         Use:

• >>> mytuple=([1,2],[3,4],[5,6])
• Use a tuple when you know what information goes in the container that it is. For example, when you want to store a person’s credentials for your website.

o   >>> person=('ABC','admin','12345')

• But when you want to store similar elements, like in an array in C++, you should use a list.

o   >>> groceries=['bread','butter','cheese']

Thread is the most important part for concurrent execution.

Thread is the light wait process that means one process can be divided in to small small threads which will execute concurrently for fast execution of tasks.

All Java programs have at least one thread, known as the main thread, which is created by the JVM at the program’s start, when the main() method is invoked with the main thread. In Java, creating a thread is accomplished by implementing an interface and extending a class. Every Java thread is created and controlled by the java.lang.Thread class.

A Thread class extends Object class and implements Runnable interface. The one advantage of using Runnable interface over Thread class, is that the class which implements Runnable interface can extend one class or implement multiple interfaces which is not possible by extending thread class.

Array is collection of more than one data at same location of same type.

Syntax:

data type name[size];

This will create memory of specified size-data.

For example, an array containing 4 integer values of type int called rn could be represented as:

int rn[4];

Initializing arrays

By default, regular arrays of local scope (for example, those declared within a function) are left uninitialized. This means that none of its elements are set to any particular value; their contents are undetermined at the point the array is declared.

But the elements in an array can be explicitly initialized to specific values when it is declared, by enclosing those initial values in braces {}. For example:

The simplest data structure in Python and is used to store a list of values.

Lists are collections of items (strings, integers, or even other lists).

Each item in the list has an assigned index value.

Lists are enclosed in [ ]

Each item in a list is separated by a comma

Unlike strings, lists are mutable, which means they can be changed.

Examples:

emptyList = [ ]  

list1 = ['one, two, three, four, five']

numlist = [1, 3, 5, 7, 9]

mixlist = ['yellow', 'red', 'blue', 'green', 'black']

An empty list is created using just square brackets:

Pointers allow you to refer to the same space in memory from multiple locations.

They need because there are so many advantages:

• To dynamic allocate in your memory.
• This means that you can update memory in one location and the change can be seen from another location in your program. You will also save space by being able to share components in your data structures.

• You should use pointers any place where you need to obtain and pass around the address to a specific spot in memory. You can also use pointers to navigate arrays:
• In some cases, function pointers are required to use functions that are in a shared library (.DLL or .so). This includes performing stuff across languages, where oftentimes a DLL interface is provided.
