Yes, we can use floating variable in if statement but you have to be very careful while initialising the condition C Language.

Comparisons between floating-point values (including comparisons with zero) are easily sent “off” by truncation/rounding errors.

Yes. You can use. But a direct comparison will never result in a true condition.

Remember that floating point values are hardly precise. So what you can do is along with the float value you are comparing, declare another value that serves as an upper and lower bound to your value,

For example:-

Float a=6.7, b=5.8;

if(a==b)

{

            printf("same");

}

Float a=1.0;

If (a==1) // this will be wrong in this case as condition will never be true

To do this correctly you have to write like this

Macro processor that is used automatically by the C compiler to transform your program before actual compilation. It is called a macro processor because it allows you to define macros, which are brief abbreviations for longer constructs.

A macro is a segment of code which is replaced by the value of macro. Macro is defined by #define directive.

Macros in C are string replacements commonly used to define constants.

The function-like macro looks like function call. For example:

It sets the value of identifier MAX to 1000 and whenever you want to use 1000 in your program you can use MAX instead of writing 1000.

2. Argumented macro substitution (this permits us to define more complex and more useful forms of replacements):-

But the major difference between C and C++ is that C is a procedural programming language and does not support classes and objects, while C++ is a object oriented programming language ;

C is a subset of C++. While C++ is a superset of C.

Approach:

Top down approach is used in Program Design.
Bottom up approach adopted in Program Design.

Input / Output Function:

In C

• scanf() Function used for Input.
• printf() Function used for output.

In C++

• Cin>> Function used for Input.
• Cout<< Function used for output.

Virtual Function:

C has no support for virtual and friend functions. The concepts of virtual Functions are used in C++.

Polymorphism:

In C, Polymorphism is not possible.
The concept of polymorphism is used in C++. Polymorphism is the most Important Feature of OOPS.

Operator overloading:

Operator overloading is not possible in C.
Operator overloading is one of the greatest Feature of C++.

Namespace:

No namespace Feature is present in C Language.
Namespace Feature is present in C++ for avoiding Name collision.

Variable Declaration:

Multiple Declarations of global variables are allowed.
Multiple Declarations of global variables are not allowed.

Encapsulation:

Data and functions are separate and free entities.
Data and functions are encapsulated together in form of an object.

Reference variables:

C does not support reference variables. C++ supports reference variables.

Dynamic Memory Allocation:

C provides malloc() and calloc()functions for dynamic memory allocation, and free() for memory de-allocation.

C++ provides new operator for memory allocation and delete operator for memory de-allocation.

Pointers are powerful features of C Language and (C++) programming that differentiates it from other popular programming languages like: Java and Python.

If you have a variable var in your program, &var will give you its address in the memory, where & is commonly called the reference operator.

You must have seen this notation while using scanf() function. It was used in the function to store the user inputted value in the address of var.

scanf("%d", &var);

i.e.

int a;

int *p;

p=&a;

here, variable p is pointer variable for inta which store the address of int a in memory.

*p gives the value of variable a, but only p gives the address of variable a;
