Flying Cars by Google

Google co-founder Larry Page has invested millions of
dollars in two start-ups that are developing flying cars – an engineering
pursuit that's becoming increasingly common thanks to advances in materials and
technology.
Dozen companies worldwide are working on flying
cars, with Page spending more than $100 million on Silicon Valley's Zee. Aero and
also funding a firm with a similar goal called Kitty Hawk. Zee. Aero employs
around 150 people, Bloomberg says, and its plans have included developing a
prototype flying car capable of taking off and landing vertically.
Proposed concepts for futuristic modes of public
transportation also include the hyper loop levitating
tube train, which Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk has envisioned as an open-source
project.
